Browsing the Extension Repository

The Remote Packages tab in Extensions lets you discover and inspect packages from the configured extension repository without leaving Aethrix Studio.

Opening the Repository

  1. Go to Extensions
  2. Switch to the Remote Packages tab
  3. Click Refresh to load the package list

The repository URL is shown in the header. It is configured in Settings → Extension Repository and is region-specific (tied to your account's region).

Filtering

Above the package list, a set of filter pills lets you narrow the results:

FilterShows
AllEvery package in the repository (default)
InstalledPackages you already have installed
UpdatesInstalled packages with a newer version available
PreReleasePackages whose latest version is a pre-release
ZoneWho the package belongs to: Official (Aethrix first-party), Organization (private to your organization) or Community (public)
TypeWhat the package provides: Automation (test steps), Toolkit (tools), Service (API service definitions) or Protocol (protocol analyzers). A package carrying several kinds shows under each

Package List

The left panel shows available packages — one row per package, whatever number of versions it has published. The row carries the latest listed version:

ElementDescription
IconPackage icon or default placeholder
Kind chipWhat the package provides — Automation (teal), Toolkit (violet), Service (dark slate), Protocol (light slate)
NamePackage display name
VersionLatest version number
SummaryBrief description
Pre-release badgeOrange badge for pre-release packages
Update symbolA pinned refresh badge on the package icon, NuGet-style — a newer version than the one installed exists (the Updates filter matches the same state)
Already Installed badgeGreen badge when already installed

Package Details

Click a package to load its detail panel on the right. The header shows the total download count — every install of every version of that package; the Version History table shows how that total splits per version.

SectionContent
HeaderIcon, name, latest version, summary, developer, total download count

Install/UpdateButton to install or update the package — the Version picker beside it chooses which version installs: the latest by default, an older release when you select it

Version HistoryTable of all versions with publish dates and per-version download counts. aeth restore installs the version a project pins (its lock file records id, version and repository), and the Studio version coordinator's "replace from repository" does the same for version mismatches
