Account Management

The My Account window lets you sign in, view your license tier and security status, and manage your Aethrix account.

Signing in (signed-out state)

The signed-out view is a centered card titled "Sign in to Aethrix Studio" with the tagline "Professional API testing · AI-powered".

  1. Select your Data Residency — the region where your account was created.
  2. Click Sign in with browser.
  3. A browser window opens where you can sign in with your Aethrix account, Google, Microsoft, or Enterprise SSO.
  4. After authorizing, you are returned to Aethrix Studio and the view switches to the signed-in state.

Below the sign-in button, two links are available:

  • Create account — opens the account registration page in your browser.
  • Forgot password? — opens the forgot-password page in your browser.

Pages a sign-in can stop at

Before the application that started the sign-in receives you, the browser may pause on a page that needs a decision from you. Both pages live in the account service, between signing in and returning to Aethrix Studio or the account portal.

Terms of Service — "Before you continue"

The sign-in pauses here when your account has not accepted the Terms of Service version currently in force. This covers three cases: accounts created through Google or Microsoft sign-in (there was no sign-up checkbox to tick), accounts created through an invitation, and accounts that accepted an older version than the one published now.

The page names the version in force and links the full Terms of Service and Privacy Policy documents.

ButtonWhat happens
Accept and continueThe acceptance is recorded — which version, when, and from where — and the paused sign-in resumes immediately. Nothing else is asked.
DeclineThe sign-in ends. The application that sent you here receives nothing, your session is closed, and your account is left unchanged. Declining is recorded, and you can sign in again later and accept then.
note

Acceptance is recorded per version. When a new version of the Terms is published, the next sign-in pauses once more so the new document can be accepted — your data is not affected either way.

The sign-in pauses here when you sign in with Google or Microsoft using an email that already belongs to an Aethrix account created another way — with an email and password, an invitation, or a different provider. Until you choose, nothing is connected and nobody is signed in.

The page names the email, when the existing account was created and how, and the provider asking to link.

ButtonWhat happens
Link and continueThe provider sign-in is added to the existing account and the sign-in resumes. The account keeps its license, organization and security settings; from now on you can sign in to it with either method.
CancelNothing is linked and the sign-in ends — the two accounts stay separate exactly as they were. Sign in to the existing account with its own method instead.
note

The link is a sign-in method, not a second account: it does not merge anything. A third-party phone number is never used to connect accounts, and two accounts are never merged by a sign-in — that is a support process. A link can be removed later from your account's security page.

tip

A brand-new account can earn 14 days of Pro features and 100 AI credits by following the tutorial on the portal home page — see Unlock the 14-Day Pro Trial. Aethrix Studio does not run that tutorial and never shows its activation code; the portal is the only place the code appears, and it stops appearing once the trial is redeemed or the 14 days are over.

Data Residency

The Data Residency selector lets you choose where your account was created. Your account belongs to the residency where it was created.

Data ResidencyDescription
GlobalDefault worldwide region
European UnionEU data center
United StatesUS data center
ChinaChina data center
note

Your account belongs to the residency where it was created. Switching residency signs you out and disconnects from extension repositories.

Signed-in state

The header reads "My Account" with two buttons: Manage on web (opens the account portal) and Sign out.

While the account still has a trial to earn, a banner appears under that header: Unlock your Pro trial, offering Open the tutorial (which opens your account page in the browser) and Dismiss. Aethrix Studio runs no tutorial of its own and never shows the activation code — the account portal owns the steps. The banner disappears on its own once the trial is redeemed or can no longer be earned, and Dismiss hides it for the current session only.

Identity

A card shows your avatar, display name, and:

  • Your organization name plus a license tier tag (Community / Professional / Enterprise) when you belong to an organization.
  • Your email and data residency (email · European Union).
  • Status tags: Admin, Verified (email verified), MFA (two-factor enabled), and Member since <month year>.

Data Location

The Data Location card shows which services are hosted in your selected data residency:

  • Account Service — your account and license data
  • Extension Hub — extension repository (see Extension Hub for publishing and downloading from the portal)
  • AI Gateway — AI service endpoint

All three services are hosted in the same data residency as your account.

AI Credits

For Professional and Enterprise licenses, an AI Credits card shows daily and monthly usage progress bars with Top up and Manage buttons. (The usage figures shown are preview data — live usage is coming soon.)

Security

The Security card shows:

  • Email verified — with a Verify button when not yet verified.
  • Two-factor authentication (MFA) — enabled status, with an Enable button when not enabled. MFA is configured through your account/sign-in provider.
  • Last sign-in timestamp.
  • A Manage on web button to open the account portal.

Manage on web opens your Account & Security page in the browser. Its Active Sessions table has one row per place you are still signed in — Studio, a browser, the aeth command line, a script holding an API token — named by product and version in the Device column, with the sign-in and expiry dates in UTC. A session lasts 30 days, and using it renews it.

Revoke ends one session: the next time it reaches for your account, it has to sign in again. Each application holds its own session, so signing your laptop out leaves Studio alone. An account keeps at most ten live sessions, and an eleventh sign-in ends the oldest one — that is why a session you stopped using a while ago can come back asking for credentials. It is not a password problem.

Personal Access Tokens

The Personal Access Tokens card explains that tokens are managed for CI/CD on the Aethrix Account Portal, with a Manage on portal button.

License information

Your license tier (Community, Professional, or Enterprise) appears as a tag in the Identity card. The AI Credits card is shown only for Professional and Enterprise licenses. License type (Feature License or Seat License) and expiry are part of your account profile, managed on the web portal.

warning

This page is for end-user account and license viewing only. License administration and org management are performed on the Aethrix Account Portal.
