| Element | Description |
|---|---|
| Regular Expression: | Textbox for the regex pattern (for example (\w+)@(\w+\.\w+)) |
| Text to analyze: | Multi-line editor for the text to search |

Evaluating a Pattern
- Enter the regex pattern in the Regular Expression: textbox
- Paste or type the test text in the Text to analyze: editor
- Click Evaluate
- Results appear in the data grid below
The Load Example button pre-fills the pattern (\w+)@(\w+\.\w+) and a sample text. It disappears once you start editing the pattern or the text.
Results Grid
Each row represents one match of the pattern in the input text:
| Column | Content |
|---|---|
| Matches | Match number (1-based index) |
| Value | The full matched text (Group 0) |
| Group1 | First capture group |
| Group2 | Second capture group |
| … | Additional capture groups as columns |
Columns are auto-generated based on the number of capture groups in your pattern.
Match Highlighting
Click any row in the results grid to highlight the corresponding match in the test text editor. The selection jumps to the match position and selects the matched text.
