The Extensions tab configures how Aethrix Studio connects to the Extension Repository — the server used to browse, download, and publish extension packages (.pkg). It contains a single Extensions & Packages section with two settings.
When to use
Open this tab when you need to:
- Point Studio at a private or on-premises Extension Repository instead of the default public one.
- Authenticate to a repository that requires an API key (for publishing, or for browsing/downloading from a private repository).

Extensions & Packages
link Repository URL
Base URL of the Extension Repository server used for browsing, downloading, and publishing packages.
- Bound to
ExtensionHubUri. - Leave empty to use the default public repository.
- Type or paste the URL, then it is saved automatically when the field loses focus (
LostFocus).
manage_accounts API Key
API key used to authenticate against the Extension Repository.
- Bound to
ExtensionHubApiKey. - Masked as you type (
PasswordChar="*"). - Leave empty when using JWT bearer authentication (signed in with your Aethrix account) or when the repository is public.
The API key is stored with your other settings. It is sent only to the repository URL configured above — it is not transmitted to Aethrix unless that URL points to an Aethrix-hosted repository.
