The Appearance tab controls the visual look and feel of Aethrix Studio — the Theme & Personalization section groups interface scale, theme, color, and transparency options, and a separate Startup page setting decides which module opens on launch.
To reach it: open Settings, select the Appearance tab, adjust the controls. Every change on this tab applies immediately and is saved when the Settings window closes.
palette Theme Mode
What it does — Selects the theme for the application between Dark and Light. Use System Settings follows the operating-system theme and switches as the OS switches.
When to use — Match your workspace lighting or accessibility needs. Choose Use System Settings to follow your OS light/dark schedule automatically.
How to set — In Theme & Personalization, open the Theme Mode dropdown and pick a value; the theme applies immediately.
format_size Interface Scale
What it does — Sets the overall text size: Small, Normal (default), or Large. Input fields, buttons, table rows, tree rows, and menus resize together with the text so the layout stays balanced at every size.
When to use — Pick Small to fit more on dense screens, or Large for readability on high-resolution displays and presentations.
How to set — In Theme & Personalization, open the Interface Scale dropdown and pick a size; the change applies immediately, no restart needed. The same options are also available without opening Settings: on the user card at the bottom of the navigation pane, open the "…" menu → Interface Scale — a check mark marks the current size.
colorize Accent Color
What it does — Selects an accent color used for highlighted items, or uses the system accent color.
When to use — Personalize the UI, or align Aethrix Studio with a team/brand color.
How to set — In Theme & Personalization, open the Accent Color swatch dropdown and click a color; the accent applies immediately.
opacity Transparency Effects
What it does — Applies a transparency (acrylic-style) effect to the window background. The slider runs from Transparent to Opaque. Available on Windows and macOS.
When to use — Enable a translucent window for aesthetics; move toward Opaque if transparency reduces readability or performance.
How to set — In Theme & Personalization, drag the Transparency Effects slider between Transparent and Opaque.
format_color_fill Accent Tint Strength
What it does — Controls how much the accent color influences the window background tint. The slider runs from Neutral to Full.
When to use — Increase toward Full for a more colorful, branded background; keep at Neutral for a plain background.
How to set — In Theme & Personalization, drag the Accent Tint Strength slider between Neutral and Full.
animation Animations
What it does — Turns movement and light effects on or off. It covers page transition animations, the highlight that sweeps across a selected card, and the glow that follows the pointer along the edges of cards and header bars. Default: on.
When to use — Turn off on slower devices or remote sessions where animations feel sluggish. Turning it off also removes the card light effects, so the interface stays completely still — useful when a moving highlight is distracting or when recording the screen.
How to set — In Theme & Personalization, toggle Animations; the change applies immediately.
tab Startup Page
What it does — Sets the default page shown when the application has started.
When to use — Point Aethrix Studio at the module you use most (for example, your testing workspace) so it opens there directly.
How to set — Open the Startup page dropdown and select a module.
